For Young or Old, Sensors Animate Roamer
Adding sensors to Roamer opens new STEM opportunities for all ages. Giving Roamer feelers suddenly makes it into an insect. Older children might program the insect to find its way through a maze. Young students don’t program it; they play with it. Through this play, they explore the difference between living and nonliving entities – a typical science activity for young pupils. You start youngsters understanding what sensors do. When they are older, they learn how to make them work.
